Former President Donald Trump in a statement on Friday endorsed Governor Bill Lee (R-TN) in his campaign to seek a second term as Tennessee’s governor.
In the brief statement, Trump pointed out Lee’s record on a host of key issues, including support for law enforcement and border security.
“Governor Bill Lee is an outsider who led the Great State of Tennessee through difficult times, without compromising his Conservative Values. Tennesseans enjoy more freedom than ever before. He fully supports Law Enforcement, Strong Borders, the Second Amendment, our Military and our Vets. Re-electing Bill Lee means putting America first. Bill has my Complete and Total Endorsement!” Trump said.
Lee, who Trump highlighted as an “outsider,” was first elected in 2018 after primarily serving in the private sector during his career. Before being elected, Lee presided as the CEO of the Lee Company, a family-owned facilities and construction projects company.
Vying for a second four-year term in 2022, Lee is likely to be bolstered by former President Trump’s endorsement.

Let’s hope there is a Conservative challenger in the primary that will take a tough stand on immigration, and stand up to the democrat controlled federal government. No illegal immigrants should be allowed to be located in Tennessee. They should be stopped at the border and follow the rest of the people seeking U.S. citizenship via legal means. Yes, the third world sucks and if the UN did what they should be doing instead of whining about global warming and all their other “save the planet” BS, the third world might be a better place to live. And we need a governor who will stand up and defy any federal government mandates related to covid lockdowns, mandatory masks and vaccinations, and vaccination passports. Our once great Nations is spiraling down to drain, and we need tough leaders to make tough decisions and stand up for America and the Constitution.
Sorry, but Lee is not MAGA and will not get my vote in either the primary or general if he makes it that far.
To call Lee weak is an understatement. He’s been feckless and unimpressive since his campaign. A second term will be more of the same. #VotetheBumsOut
